This Privacy Policy describes how BeyondWords ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the BeyondWords mobile app, browser extension, and public website (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to this policy.
We collect only the information needed to provide expression training and account features:
We use your information to operate the Services (scheduling review, generating prompts, analyzing your writing, and showing feedback), maintain and secure your account, improve product quality, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information.
BeyondWords uses third-party AI services to extract expressions from pasted text, generate practice prompts, and analyze your sentences. Text you submit for these features is sent to our AI providers for processing. We configure these services to handle data only as needed to deliver the feature and do not use your writing to train public models on your behalf unless we clearly tell you otherwise.
We share information with infrastructure and AI vendors that help us run the Services, with authentication providers when you choose to sign in through them, and when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not share your learning content with advertisers.
We retain your account and learning data while your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we will remove or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records for legal or security purposes.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you. You can manage much of your data in the app. To request account deletion, follow the steps on the Delete account page, or contact us using the email below.
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong, unique password if you create an account with a password.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, email us at chipzh@outlook.com.
